Kaalstaart

Kaalstaart is organised by the artists. Together we create the conditions for a great festival which is inspiring for both the artists and their audience. This is what Kaalstaart offers to artists:

An uplifting event for both artists and audiences aimed at art, science and technology.
A diverse mix of exhibition and theatre spaces on board of a number of inland vessels and on the quay.
Documentation with photo's, a review and video report.
Publicity on Mastodon, Instagram and on the Kaalstaart website.
An artist dinner on the friday evening before the festival.
We applied for funding to reimburse travel and presentation fees to the artists. A positive result will be shared among the participating artists.
And of cource a Kaalstaart never to forget!

If you want to join Kaalstaart, please fill out the following form. In the weeks before the festival we'll contact you to settle details concerning when and where to install your work.
The rules

Your work fits under the theme 'technical-art and new crafts'.
Your submission answers to the statements by researchers that were sent in.
Your submission has not been on display at Kaalstaart before.
You will be present (as much a possible) for audience interaction during the exhibition opening times.
Kaalstaart is an event for experiment and exhibition, not for selling work.
